Established in 1977, Arte Legno Spello makes olive wood products for the kitchen and table from olive trees that no longer bear fruit. They think of woodworking as a nexus of pottery and fabric, especially because of the natural, high-contrast patterns that are unique to olive wood and evoke movement. Their workshop is in Spello, a beautiful medieval town in Italy's Umbria region.
