Established in 1971, All-Clad cookware is still handcrafted with American-made steel in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania the same way it was four decades ago.
Every one of All-Clad's bonded pots and pans is hand-inspected at each stage of the manufacturing process to ensure that All-Clad's rigorous quality standards are maintained. These painstaking efforts result in a finished bonded product that maintains the same integrity it was created with.
Further, All-Clad cookware is manufactured to the most stringent environmental standards. Nearly every ounce of unused material is recovered and recycled, including metal dust generated during the sanding process.
Today, the company works constantly to evolve and innovate its top-tier products to meet the changing needs of cooks who demand uncompromising quality in their kitchens.
We love their frying pans so much that we use both the regular stainless and non-stick in our Cook Schools.
All-Clad...crafted and used with passion.
Copper Core
Every piece of All-Clad Copper Core is handcrafted and composed of alternating layers of stainless steel and aluminium with a middle layer of copper. This composition spreads heat quickly and evenly and allows for ultimate temperature control and precision. Items are manufactured in the United States to the most stringent environmental standards and features:
- A 5-ply construction of aluminium, stainless steel and copper - not only on the bottom but up the sides of each piece - distributing heat evenly and providing professional results
- 18/10 stainless steel interior cooking surface that will not react with food and cleans effortlessly
- Long handles cast from solid stainless steel and ergonomically designed for comfort and to stay cool on the hob
- Rivets formed from high-yield-strength stainless steel and treated to remove trace elements of iron that could cause corrosion
All-Clad Copper Core can be used on all hobs including induction. We recommend hand washing only, to keep the lustre of the exposed copper band and ensure durability. An occasional polish of the copper band is recommended.
TriPly (D3)
All-Clad’s most popular range. We stock both a 3-piece set and a 6-piece set.
This range features:
- Premium tri-ply construction throughout the pan to deliver even heat distribution
- 18/10 stainless steel interior cooking surface that will not react with food and cleans effortlessly
- Long handles cast from solid stainless steel and ergonomically designed for comfort and to stay cool on the hob
- High-polished mirror finish exterior
D5
All-Clad’s D5 collection delivers superior heat distribution and is suitable for all hobs including induction. The only cookware of its kind. All-Clad D5 features:
- A patented 5-ply bonded construction throughout the pan with alternating layers of stainless steel and aluminium
- Starburst-polished 18/10 stainless steel interiors that are non-reactive to food
- Riveted stay-cool handles and flared pouring rims
- A lustrous brushed stainless steel exterior that is fingerprint-free
- High-polished mirror finish exterior
This layered construction prevents warping and enables even heating. The All-Clad cookware’s three layers of PFOA-free nonstick coating on the frying pans ensure effortless food release and make cleanup a breeze. Though oven and grill-safe (except for nonstick surfaces), we do not recommend putting these pans in the dishwasher, as it could wear down the steel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is All-Clad cookware oven-safe?
Yes. Copper Core, d5 and Tri-Ply are oven and grill-safe, excluding nonstick. Nonstick pans are not grill-safe but are oven-safe up to 260°C / 500°F.
Is All-Clad cookware induction compatible?
Yes. Copper Core, d5 and Tri-Ply pans are induction-compatible.
Do All-Clad handles get hot?
All-Clad’s long riveted handles are made from cast stainless steel, which conducts heat poorly. This prohibits the handles from becoming too hot on the stovetop. Nonetheless, in the oven or grill, the handles will become hot. Keep oven gloves handy to prevent burns.
Are All-Clad pots and pans dishwasher safe?
Do not put All-Clad pots and pans in the dishwasher, as high heat and harsh detergents corrode and dry out the surface.
How do I clean my All-Clad pots and pans?
Warm, soapy water is sufficient for daily cleaning. Ensure all food film is removed as this may cause discolouration on the pan and food to stick whilst cooking. To get rid of stuck-on food, discolouration and stains we recommend a specialist stainless steel cleaning product. DO NOT USE oven cleaners, cleansers containing chlorine bleach or steel wool scrubbers.
Do All-Clad pans need to be seasoned?
No. Stainless steel does not need to be seasoned. You can occasionally wipe nonstick-coated pans with a paper towel and a touch of vegetable oil to condition them.
Do All-Clad pots and pans have a lifetime warranty?
Yes. From the date of purchase, All-Clad honours a lifetime guarantee to repair or replace any item found defective in material, construction or workmanship under normal use and following care instructions.
