Since its inception in 1999, Baratza has offered high-quality, state-of-the-art grinders for those who care about making the best coffees. Conical burr grinders are exceptional at producing consistent grinds from very fine to very coarse as well as being durable and will remain sharp for many years. And now, Baratza have introduced two new grinders with revolutionary technology--the Sette 270 and the Sette 270W.

The new Sette 270 design also doubles the efficiency of similarly sized grinders. Easy-to-use digital control panel has a macro/micro adjustment for grind size as well as 3 programmable settings for dosing. Beans pass straight through the grinder and drop directly into the grounds bin. A built-in convertible holder allows you to grind coffee directly into your portafilter or most of the popular brewing devices.
The 270W features all the great revolutionary features as the Sette 270 plus the weighing technology of Acaia. This built-in scale has ultra-fast 20ms response time and a 1/10 gram sensitivity. The Sette 270W also comes with Bluetooth capabilities designed to monitor, log and track grind sessions, weights and settings.
The Encore is lauded by coffee experts as THE go-to entry level grinder for those brewing coffee at home. It has an accurate medium to coarse grind for the increasingly popular manual brew methods such as pour-over, Aeropress, Siphon and Chemex. The Encore does grind slower than than the other models, at an average rate of about a gram a second. This grinder is recommended for those who do not want to commit substantial time for brewing, but understand and appreciate the benefit of fresh, consistently ground coffee at home.
The Virtuoso is a step up from the Encore. With a sharp looking cast zinc upper casing and base, this grinder immediately catches the eye. It also has a 60-second timer switch that offers a distinct advantage over the on/off switch of the Encore. The timer will power the grinder off while you prepare your filter/water/brew equipment and allows for easily repeatable grind times. The quantity of ground coffee you need depends on the type of bean, coarseness of the grind and brewing method. With use, you will find the most suitable settings for your personal taste. The Virtuoso is very efficient and quick with a grind time of 2 grams a second.
