The secret to the Virtuoso’s consistent, smooth grind is two-fold: an efficient DC motor that keeps your beans cool and speed reducers that slow the burr to 500 RPM, ensuring a smooth bean feed and reducing noise, heat and static buildup. A thermal overload cutout protects the motor from overheating due to excessive use—but remember, these grinders are designed to grind a dose at a time for the freshest brew at home, so you never need to run it for too many seconds. A collection basket keeps mess at a minimum; you can also set the basket aside to grind coffee directly into your portafilter. In response to customer feedback, this newer model has a new and improved digital display on the timer that you turn right to make 1-second jumps and left to make changes of 1/10 of a second.
