Product Details

Mauviel’s M’Tradition range consists of entirely handcrafted pieces that honour the company’s 200-year history. This copper two-handled saute pan with bronze handles has a beautiful hammered finish and is lined with tin, which is excellent at heat distribution and less prone to sticking than other metals. (As tin is a relatively delicate metal, this pot will need to be re-tinned every 10 years or so, depending on the level of use.) Though a collector’s item, it is practical and made to be used, especially because the thick layer of copper in this pan will ensure food heats rapidly and thoroughly. This versatile shape makes it just as good for braising as it does for sauteing. It is suitable for all hobs except induction and should never be placed in the dishwasher.

Mauviel M’6S pans have an outer layer of pure copper that’s soft by nature, and thus prone to scratches and should be handled carefully. They are finished by hand. The pans (including handles) often have minor abrasions, small black marks or scuffs as a result. These are considered normal and do not have any impact on performance and durability.

From creation to completion, the artistry with which Mauviel produces each piece demonstrates why the brand sits among the top tier of its industry.
