Pastry making is all about precision. It's not just a matter of measuring ingredients, but understanding the principles and processes behind them. This class will cover the basics of French pastry, and you'll gain an understanding of the following:
- Shortcrust pastry
- Choux, the versatile base of eclairs, profiteroles and gougères
- Crème pâtissière (pastry cream)
At the end of the class, you will take home a wonderful tart filled with vanilla crème pâtissière, decorated with a variety of fruits & whipped cream. You'll also make eclairs and profiteroles filled with chocolate crème pâtissière.
Age Restriction: 16+, but 14 and 15-year-olds are welcome to attend this class as long as they are accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class
