Product Details

Made in Portugal since 1951, Silampos pans anticipate the needs of home cooks. This large casserole pot has a brushed satin finish on the outside and oversized handles that make it easy to lift. A sandwich base concentrates the heat from the power source—which includes all hobs including induction and AGA—and sends it upwards. A curved rim prevents liquids from trailing along the side of the pan when pouring. The tight-fitting lid includes a tall and wide handle. This casserole is oven-compatible up to 200C and dishwasher-safe, though hand-washing will extend its durability. Ideal for a myriad of tasks, from making large batches sauces—especially ones with acidic ingredients like tomatoes or citrus—as well as pasta, curries, stews, beans, and much more.

Why we love it

'Silampos pans are full of little details that let me focus on the food, not the vessel; like the curved rim that stops sauce from dripping and the wide-handled lid that’s easy to grasp, especially if you’re holding a tea towel.'
