Product Details
Made in Portugal since 1951, Silampos pans anticipate the needs of home cooks. This saute casserole has a polished satin finish on the outside and oversized handles for easily lifting from oven (where it is heat-safe up to 200C) to table. A curved rim prevents liquids from trailing along the side of the pan when pouring. The tight-fitting lid includes a tall and wide handle. This pan has a thick sandwich base that absorbs heat from the power source—which includes all hobs including induction and AGA—and sends the heat upwards. It is dishwasher-safe, though hand-washing will extend its durability. The extra surface area this saute pan is useful for browning meat, vegetables, and other ingredients, while the tall sides also make it suitable for cooking braises and curries.

Why we love it
'Silampos pans are full of little details that let me focus on the food, not the vessel; like the curved rim that stops sauce from dripping and the wide-handled lid that’s easy to grasp, especially if you’re holding a tea towel.'
