LSA was founded 50 years ago by Polish ceramicist Janusz Lubkowski and his wife Ewa. The company has grown and evolved, branching out to produce some of the finest soda-lime glassware in a range that is both stylish and practical. The vast majority of LSA glassware is handmade and handblown, created by artisanal glassware producers in Lubkowski’s native Poland. The skills of these craftsman have been honed and passed down over several generations, and LSA pride themselves in continue to innovate new methods and practices.
Soda-lime glass is lead-free and far cheaper to produce than other options like crystal-glass. Created in gas-fired kilns at several hundred degrees centigrade, before being expertly hand-blown by a specialist team of glassblowers with several years of expertise. You may occasionally see small bubbles of air in the soda-lime glass; this is a natural occurrence as a result of the manufacturing process and can add to the charm of the piece.
