Witloft was born in 2014, on the premise of creating an apron that would withstand the test of time. Leather, with its heat-resistant properties, was a natural choice, whether cooking indoors or on the barbecue. It's also handy for other trades such as woodworking. Cooking and woodworking were the passions of the founders, after all. They made these aprons for themselves first, then friends, and now their products are beloved by chefs, pit masters, and bartenders across Europe. We are proud to say we are among the first retailers to introduce Witloft to the UK. 

Since then, Witloft has expanded its range to include some of the finest quality leather tableware and accessories, like knife rolls. All their pieces continue their tradition of using the highest quality leather, which is tanned in Italy and finished by hand in Holland. In 2021, the company updated their leather formula to be softer and more flexible, with a smoother finish.

Each leather apron and knife roll is tanned in Italy and handcrafted in the Netherlands, where it is treated with a coating to make the leather stain-repellent. And because leather breathes, it will shape to fit its user over time for ultimate comfort. 

In 2022, Witloft worked with MUD Jeans to make denim aprons. MUD specialises in top-quality recycled denim, and is working towards a goal to be the first company in the world to have a fully circular production process.
