Kelly’s Spiced Apple Rum Cocktail
A flavourful Autumn cocktail that marries apple and spice. Allspice liqueur takes a bit of effort to get, but it’s a great inclusion to your home bar. It adds a spicy note to rye or bourbon-based drinks such as an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
Ingredients
- 100ml cloudy English apple juice
- 50ml Havana Club 3 year old rum
- 5ml lime juice
- 1/4 tsp Bitter Truth Pimento Dram allspice liqueur
- Optional 30ml cold club soda
- 1 cored apple slice, grating of cinnamon stick, for garnish
For the Cocktail
- Measure apple juice, rum, lime juice and allspice liqueur into a mixing glass
- Add ice, close shaker and shake vigorously
- Strain over fresh ice cubes in a rocks glass
- Top with club soda, if desired, and garnish with apple slice and cinnamon
