Product Details
This End Grain Chopping Board in Ash is handmade in Lithuania for Borough Kitchen. Made from sustainably sourced ash wood, the end-grain construction means that the fibres, perpendicular to the surface, provide less resistance to knife blades. Also, as the wood is highly compact, it has a regenerating quality where the fibres push back together quickly after impact with a blade, improving the board’s durability. One side of the board is flat and features a juice groove and a well with a channel for pouring. The other side features spikes that keep meat and other ingredients firmly in place when carving, making it easier and safer to carve with precision and achieve even slices. The reverse side of the board is plain and can be used as an attractive serving board for charcuterie, cheese, or bread.
Why we love it
'Whatever you're carving, the careful design of this board makes it simpler. The spikes keep your roast meats in place and the juice well collects any liquids without mess.'
