Product Details
Building on the success of its predecessor, the Fellow Opus 2 Conical Burr Coffee Grinder has all the features of the original Opus Grinder, but it's quicker, faster, and cleaner, with even greater versatility and precision across all brewing styles. Equipped with an expanded micro-adjustment system, the Opus 2 makes dialling in the perfect grind size effortless, whether you're making espresso (fine grind), pour-over (medium grind), or cold brew (coarse grind). The large 48mm burrs reduce the amount of friction and excess heat generated during the grinding process, which helps preserve the delicate flavour profiles and aromatics of coffee beans. An integrated ioniser minimises static buildup during grinding, which keeps coffee grounds from clinging to the blades. An automatic shutoff eliminates timing and guesswork when grinding. Anti-static technology and magnetic catch cups – including one perfectly sized for espresso portafilters – prevent grinds from getting all over your countertop, making your morning routine neater. The hopper lid includes a handy grind guide, which makes it easy to find and return to a preferred setting. The grinder can hold up to 100g of coffee beans at a time, which makes about five servings of coffee. Two catch cups are included, one for brewed coffee and one for espresso, compatible with 54mm and 58mm portafilters.
Fitted with a UK plug.
Why we love it
'One of the biggest issues with standard grinders is that they trap old coffee grounds inside, which then mix with your fresh beans the next day. The Opus 2 actively pushes the coffee grounds through the chute, ensuring you get exactly the dose you put in, with near-zero retention or stale carry-over.'
