Product Details

The Mauviel M’Cook Bain marie, also called a double boiler, is a must-have for committed bakers and chefs. Made from a layer of ferritic stainless steel (a hybrid of iron and steel that extends from base to edge), it is ultra heat-responsive, and attaches easily to induction hobs. A porcelain insert takes the stress out of tempering chocolate or making delicate sauces like hollandaise, as it ensures ingredients are heated gently. Without the insert, it can be used as a regular saucepan, with the added benefit of extra height.

Mauviel M’Cook pans, including handles, are polished and finished by hand; this may result in minor abrasions or scuffs. These are considered normal and do not have any impact on performance or durability.

While M’Cook pans are dishwasher-safe, please note that dishwasher detergents that contain harsh chemicals such as potassium are abrasive to the aluminium edge on the rims of these pans. This can cause the edge to feel sharp over time, but does not affect performance.
