A deep saucepan that takes care of your boiling, stewing, and poaching needs, this Mauviel M’Cook Deep Saucepan is made from ferritic stainless steel (a hybrid of iron and steel) that extends from base to edge. This ensures food cooks faster and more evenly. Polished on the outside and matt on the inside, it is easy to clean and comes with a stainless steel lid. It can do everything a standard saucepan does, with the added benefit of tall sides provide extra insurance when cooking rice, noodles, pasta, polenta, porridge, and other starchy foods that are prone to foaming and boiling over. Since the surface area exposed to air is small relative to the liquid volume, it limits evaporation – great for boiling eggs or blanching vegetables, reheating foods, and holding delicate liquids at a simmer without the sauce unintentionally drying out or over-reducing. The small footprint comes especially in handy when you have multiple pans on the hob. The curved, recessed handle is comfortable to hold and stays cool on the hob. This saucepan is built to last a lifetime.
Mauviel M’Cook pans, including handles, are polished and finished by hand; this may result in minor abrasions or scuffs. These are considered normal and do not have any impact on performance or durability.
While M’Cook pans are dishwasher-safe, please note that dishwasher detergents that contain harsh chemicals such as potassium are abrasive to the aluminium edge on the rims of these pans. This can cause the edge to feel sharp over time, but does not affect performance.
