Product Details

Opinel knives, which are made in France, are known for being effective, reliable, and beautiful. The blades are forged from martensitic stainless steel, which has a high hardness due to the addition of nitrogen (0.15%) and superior corrosion resistance due to its high chromium content (16%). The light beech handle is durable and comfortable to hold, with a homogenous grain pattern characterised by numerous small dark dashes. This set of four Opinel knives includes:
  • 1 paring knife (10cm)
  • 1 serrated paring knife (10cm)
  • 1 peeler (6cm)
  • 1 peeling knife (7cm)

    About The Brand

    Opinel

Joseph Opinel began producing knives in a French town called Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne in 1890. By the early 20th century, Opinel had already become a household name—one that is synonymous with exceptionally practical knives for everyday and specialist kitchen use. Today the company is run by Joseph Opinel’s great grandsons, and all their products are still made in France. Featuring natural wooden handles, precision-shaped blades, and signature safety locking mechanisms, these knives are crafted for a lifetime of daily use.
