The French company Peugeot may be most commonly associated with cars, but they actually made spice mills first, far back in 1874. In the 146 years since, no other salt and pepper mills have stayed as sharp, resisted corrosion as well, and lasted as long, which is why nobody in the culinary industry would hesitate to call them ‘iconic’. The grinding mechanism in this elegantly shaped Bistro Pepper Mill is made from hardened steel, so it can withstand the stress of grinding tougher peppercorns without shedding some of its own metal along with it. It is helix-shaped, so peppercorns wait their turn before being cracked in half and further ground to your preference. The knob on the top of the mill can be adjusted to obtain your ideal pepper grind: the tighter the knob, the finer the pepper.
