Product Details

The French company Peugeot may be most commonly associated with cars, but they made spice mills first, far back in 1874. In the years since, no other salt and pepper mills have stayed as sharp, resisted corrosion as well, and lasted as long, which is why nobody in the culinary industry would hesitate to call them 'iconic'. The innovative Zirconia grinding mechanism in this Peugeot Oslo Wet Z Salt Mill delivers extremely fine powdered salt to season your food while limiting the quantity used. Housed in an acrylic body, the Oslo mill clearly shows the amount of salt that it holds, and features a grind adjustment button that delivers finer ground salt the tighter it is screwed, and vice versa.

Why we love it

‘Any fine dining restaurant worth its salt has a Peugeot mill. Expertly crafted inside and out, these grinders seem to “wake up” pepper and salt just before it reaches your plate.’

About The Brand

Peugeot

In 1810, brothers Jean Pierre and Jean Frédéric Peugeot converted their ancestral family mill into a steel mill. Rolled steel has been at the heart of Peugeot’s business ever since, and though the company is most often associated with cars, their iconic pepper mills came first.

Peugeot has officially been awarded the prestigious EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label in recognition of its excellence. This state-issued accolade rewards French firms for the excellence of their traditional and industrial expertise. Everything from design to technical development is handled in their French factory. With a commitment to sustainability, the wood used for their mills is sourced from PEFC-certified European forests. To protect the environment, post manufacturing wood waste, chips and sawdust, is collected and recycled. Solvent-free lacquers have been chosen for their colour finishes.
