Product Details
The French company Peugeot may be most commonly associated with cars, but they actually made spice mills first, far back in 1874. In the 146 years since, no other salt and pepper mills stay as sharp, resist corrosion as well, and last as long, which is why nobody in the culinary industry would hesitate to call them ‘iconic’. The grinding mechanism of this salt mill is made from medical-grade zirconia, which stays sharp over a lifetime of use (and is backed by a warranty). This patented mechanism grinds a wide variety of dry salts, including flaky salt, with utmost precision. In its finest grind, you can use less salt with no loss of flavour. The six u’Select grind settings can be found on the bottom of the mill with the roman numerals—I is finest, and VI is most coarse. The stainless steel body, besides lending a nice modern aesthetic, also keeps the salt extra safe from too-hot or too-cold temperatures and bright light.

About The Brand
Peugeot
In 1810, brothers Jean Pierre and Jean Frédéric Peugeot converted their ancestral family mill into a steel mill. Rolled steel has been at the heart of Peugeot’s business ever since, and though the company is most often associated with cars, their iconic pepper mills came first.
Peugeot has officially been awarded the prestigious EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) label in recognition of its excellence. This state-issued accolade rewards French firms for the excellence of their traditional and industrial expertise. Everything from design to technical development is handled in their French factory. With a commitment to sustainability, the wood used for their mills is sourced from PEFC-certified European forests. To protect the environment, post manufacturing wood waste, chips and sawdust, is collected and recycled. Solvent-free lacquers have been chosen for their colour finishes.
