Product Details
Skeppshult have crafted hand-forged cookware in Sweden since 1906. Made from entirely natural iron, each handmade piece is completely unique, only gets better with time and use, and is built to last a lifetime. This Skeppshult Cast Iron Frying Pan has a robust 5mm thick base that ensures even heat distribution, perfect for frying, searing, and browning meats and vegetables. Its walnut handle is exclusive to Borough Kitchen in the UK, and remains cool during cooking for easy handling. The wooden handles can be removed by unscrewing the eyelet at the end of the handle, and replaced the same way. (Wooden handles are not compatible in the oven. Crafted from premium solid cast iron, the shallow pan’s coarse texture means excellent caramelisation and effortless food release. It is compatible with all hobs, including induction, as well as the barbecue. It can only be used in the oven if the wooden handle is removed. It also features a cast iron lip that serves as a support handle. Pre-seasoned with organic canola oil, the pan’s natural non-stick surface improves over time and is designed to last a lifetime.
Why we love it
'Not only does this pan get a great caramelisation on food, it's a lovely stove-to-table piece and great to serve from.'
