Product Details
Skeppshult have crafted hand-forged cookware in Sweden since 1906. Made from entirely natural iron, each handmade piece is completely unique, only gets better with time and use, and is built to last a lifetime. This Skeppshult Original Cast Iron Deep Frying Pan has high walls to create more steam and a thick base that's excellent for even heat conduction. Exclusive to Borough Kitchen in the UK, the pan has a cast iron handle that is oven-compatible, and it's a great stove-to-table pan. Made from high-quality solid cast iron, the texture of the pan is very coarse for excellent caramelisation, which also helps food to release better and means an outstanding searing surface. With high walls to create more steam, the versatile pan is similar to a skillet, making it great for frying, searing, or stir-frying. The pan is compatible with all heat sources, features a cast iron lip that acts as a support handle, and is pre-seasoned with organic canola oil so that the natural non-stick surface gets better with age.
Why we love it
'This pan is so versatile. The gritty texture gets a fantastic caramelisation, and the deep sides create more steam when cooking, whilst giving you the versatility to sauté, braise, or simmer large portions in a single pan.'
