Now manufactured in Sheffield, at the very factory where stainless steel was invented, The Chef's Press is an ingeniously simple tool that has a myriad of benefits. By maximising contact between your ingredients and the pan or BBQ, it cooks food 20-30% faster, evening out heat distribution for perfectly seared chicken, steak, toasties, bacon, vegetables, and so much more. The Chef's Press side-steps three common issues with standard cast iron burger presses and cooking weights – it is vented (to prevent steam and promote browning), dishwasher-safe, and stackable. The stackable design lets you spread the cooking weights across ingredients (if you are cooking large cuts of meat or veg, or large portions); apply extra pressure (when you place one weight on top of another); and store the weights efficiently. They are also great for submerging food for marinades, fermentation, or sous vide. The Sheffield-made version is crafted from rust-proof 304 stainless steel and laser-cut, which provides a flatter cooking surface for better contact with food and a cleaner edge. Every press is made with traditional machinery and finished by hand in a process that generates less waste.
