Product Details
Each board in our Borough Kitchen Chopping Board Set is designed to withstand a lifetime of daily use. Made from Richlite – a mix of recycled wood fibre and resin – it has been independently tested to confirm it does not shed microplastics. The smooth, non-porous surface is naturally hygienic; unlike plastic boards, it resists deep knife grooves that are difficult to clean inside. It is dishwasher-safe and easy to maintain. Since the material is heat-safe up to 167°C, you can place hot pans on the surface when needed, using it as a trivet. The board's natural fibre composition, thermoset stability, and long service life – as well as Richlite's dedication to scientific verification and transparency – ensure its environmental footprint is minimal. This set contains four boards: small (20cm), medium (30cm), large (38cm), and extra-large (53cm).
Why we love it
'These boards are true workhorses. They have the benefits of a wooden board (kind to knife blades, hygienic) but are much easier to store and manoeuvre around the kitchen. They are easy to care for, by hand or in the dishwasher. We have used them in our cook school for years because they are so durable.'
