Feast from the Middle East Cooking Class

£115.00

Learn how to make a classic mezze platter and shakshuka from scratch in this introduction to Middle Eastern cooking, with an emphasis on skills and techniques that will last a lifetime.

Product Details

This class draws inspiration from Arabic, Israeli and North African culinary traditions. We'll teach you the skills and techniques behind popular dishes like lamb kofta and shakshuka, such as how to use a knife properly, how to ensure ground meat mixtures hold their shape, how to balance acidic flavours, and more. We'll also make hummus, baba ganoush, and harissa paste from scratch, so you'll never opt for the store-bought stuff again.

Think this class would make a perfect gift? We do too—that's why we offer Cook School Gift Cards, for one or two guests, in paper and digital formats. That allows your giftee to decide the class, time, and location, as well as let us know about any dietary preferences or allergens.

    Age Restriction: 16+

Diets & AllergensThis class can be adapted to vegetarian, dairy-free, and nut-free diets. Please provide specific details on any diets and allergies, especially dairy or gluten intolerances, in the Allergen & Dietary Restrictions field at checkout or by emailing cookschool@boroughkitchen.com, so we can best accommodate you. A complete list of the allergens in our cook school classes can be seen on this allergen matrix.

Accessibility: Our Battersea Cook School can be adapted for wheelchair users. Please contact our customer service team at online@borougkitchen.com to discuss your needs, so that we can assist with the booking process.

Cancellation Policy: You must notify our customer service team via LiveChat, email (cookschool@boroughkitchen.com) or phone (020 7043 1478) 10 full business days before your scheduled class to get a refund. You can transfer your seat to a different date or class if you notify us 5 full business days before your scheduled class. Any changes made within 5 full business days of the class cannot be accepted. Due to our small class sizes and to avoid increases in our ticket prices, there are no exceptions to this policy, including illness or any other reason. However, you are welcome to transfer your tickets to any friends or family who can go in your place. For our full T&C's, click here.

Note: Due to rising costs of operation, we are increasing the price of our 2024 classes to £125 per seat. This allows us to maintain our standards for sourcing high-quality ingredients, as well as fairly compensating our cook school team. If you have an existing £115 or £230 cook school voucher, it can be redeemed for any scheduled cook school class without extra charge – this class must be booked before 15 April 2024. Cook school gift cards valued at other amounts can be redeemed at their face value.

To book, email online@boroughkitchen.com with the voucher number, as well as the class, location and date you would like to attend. Please include allergens and dietary restrictions. You can also email us at this address if you have any Borough Kitchen gift cards that are unused but expired – we will reinstate the card for you.
