Product Details
An interchangeable disc that affixes to the rolling mechanism of any HORL 3 or HORL 3 Pro knife sharpener, this Kagami whetstone disc has an ultra-fine grit to achieve ultimate sharpness. It compares to the world's finest Japanese whetstones, including the Black Arkensa and Belgium Stone, providing a mirror finish that's 3x sharper than the results of the HORL Premium Sharpening Set. It is an additional disc that must be used after the standard HORL ceramic disc (included in every HORL sharpener), and can be used after the HORL 3 Fine and Extra Fine Whetstone Discs for the maximum level of sharpness and an extremely smooth cutting edge. To use the HORL Kagami Disc, simply twist off an existing disc from a compatible HORL 3 roller, replace it with this one, and stroke the knife blade against the dry stone for 5 minutes on each side. Then, lightly dampen the stone with a few drops of water and use it for 1 minute on each side of the blade to finish. (Read our guide on how to check the sharpness of a knife blade.) Not compatible with HORL 2 sharpeners or accessories.
To purchase this disc along with the HORL rolling knife sharpener, consider our exclusive Ultimate HORL sharpening sets.
Note: HORL products can only be shipped within the UK.
Why we love it
'While the standard HORL discs are excellent for sharpening knives, these additional ultra-fine ceramic whetstone discs give you the flexibility to refine your blade even further, and achieve ultimate sharpness.'
