Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of utensils should I use when cooking with Tri-Ply?

You can use metal, plastic, silicone or wood utensils with any piece in either set.

Do the pan handles get hot?

All-Clad’s long riveted handles are made from cast stainless steel, which conducts heat poorly. This prohibits them from becoming too hot on the stove top. Nonetheless, in the oven or grill, the handles will become hot. Keep oven gloves handy to prevent burns.

Can I use All-Clad cookware on a ceramic cooker?

Absolutely. In fact, All-Clad cookware is a great choice for this type of cooker. The pans are well-balanced and contact surfaces are smooth. Further, the bonded construction and exceptional heat distribution helps prevent scorching, which can be an issue with this style of hob together with other brands of cookware.

Is All-Clad Tri-Ply dishwasher safe?

The Stainless Steel Tri-Ply collection is completely dishwasher safe.  All-Clad recommends washing Tri-Ply items in the dishwasher before first use to remove any manufacturing residue. Never put non-stick cookware in the dishwasher because high heat and harsh detergents corrode and dry out the surface causing flaking and chipping.

Why is my pan discoloured after use?

Overheating can cause blue or brown stains. Food films, if not removed, will cause discolouration on a pan or pot when it is reheated. Low to medium heat is recommended for frying , braising, sautéing and simmering because All-Clad is crafted to hold heat.

How do I clean my All-Clad?

Warm, soapy water is sufficient for daily cleaning. Ensure all food film is removed as this may cause discolouration on the pan and food to stick whilst cooking. To get rid of stuck-on food, discolouration and stains we recommend a specialist stainless steel cleaning product. DO NOT USE oven cleaners, cleansers containing chlorine bleach or steel wool scrubbers.

Where to buy All-Clad Stainless Tri-Ply?
