What makes a Borough Kitchen cookery class different?
-
Focus on skills and techniques: No matter what class you take at our cook school, you will learn skills and techniques that will come in handy every time you cook, from how to use a knife properly to how to balance flavours and textures. We don’t read off recipes in our classes; instead, you’ll gain practice and an intuitive understanding of cooking.
-
Small group sizes: Our classes have a maximum of 10 students in our Chiswick, Hampstead, and Islington locations. It has a maximum of 12 students in our Battersea Power Station location. This ensures every student gets their own dedicated work station, and attention from our highly experienced chefs and cook school assistants. All students face each other, rather than working rows, for a more social experience.
- Top-quality equipment and ingredients: All the equipment used in our cook school is what we sell in our shop. They have been tried and tested for function, quality, and durability. Every student can enjoy a complimentary glass of St John wine or beer in class. We partner with local butchers and fishmongers to supply our meat and fish.
